Welcome to a new era of Mississippi State football - road favorite on Astini News

Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen wanted to dismiss it Tuesday after his team's practice Tuesday night but the MSU program has reached a new territory as a road favorite against a conference opponent.

"Does that (line) mean they're going to put seven points on the scoreboard when we show up?" Mullen asked in a joking fashion. "I'm not much into gambling."

This statistic item led my notebook in Wednesday's edition of The Dispatch but here's the numbers of what State's done on the road against the SEC since 2006.

- Mullen is 7-4 on the road against all teams and 4-4 in the SEC away from Davis Wade Stadium. Yes, that means the Bulldogs third-year head coach is better in conference play on the road than in Starkville (3-5).

Here's the game-by-game of every contest where State was on the road in SEC since 2006.

Note: And remember folks gambling is illegal in this country unless its done at a recognized casino.
