'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' husband Russell Armstrong called Bravo 'bastards' on Astini News

In one of his final interviews before committing suicide, "Real Housewives" hubby Russell Armstrong blasted the Bravo reality TV show, saying everything shown "is bullsh--" and called the show's creators "bastards."

Armstrong, 47, the condescending and callous hubby of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, Taylor Armstrong, 40, was found dead last Monday.

Although no suicide note was found, authorities said Armstrong was suffering from severe financial woes, a nasty $1.5 million lawsuit for allegedly scamming investors via his venture capitalist business and a deep depression about his crumbling marriage.

"Everything you see on that show is bullsh--. Those Bravo bastards take every little argument out of context and magnify it for the cameras," he told TheFix.com.

In the interview, conducted in June, Armstrong spoke candidly about trying to save his marriage.

"The Russell you see on TV has nothing to do with my real personality," Armstrong said. "He's just a stock character created by Bravo's evil overlords. That's not me you see up there. It's just a character I play on TV."

Armstrong said eventually he got used to being a reality TV star.

"At first I was a little annoyed about all the bullsh--, but then I realized it's not so bad to be a celebrity. The thing is, all the publicity has been great for my business," he said.

Armstrong had nothing but great things to say about his wife Taylor just weeks before she filed for a divorce, citing physical and emotional abuse.

"She is the most sensitive, sweet woman I've ever met. Taylor's kind of like an angel," he said. "She really is everything to me. We watch these stories about our terrible marriage, and we lie in bed and laugh. The truth is we are really, really happy."

Armstrong became known to fans of the show for his sullen, sour attitude towards his TV-star wife -- fighting and belittling her on camera, abandoning her at parties and undermining her at every opportunity -- especially in front of their 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy.
