Meagan Good not doing 'Single Ladies' on Astini News

Meagan Good is denying reports that she'll be stepping in for Stacey Dash on "Single Ladies."

False alarm! VH1 has not found its replacement for Stacey in Meagan afterall. At least that's what Meagan said.

The actress addressed the casting rumors in a statement to Global Grind, quickly putting an end to rumors that VH1 offered her a role on the show. It was never clear whether Meagan would be stepping into the role of Val or if the writers would create a new character for her.

In Meagan's own words, she's not sure that she is ready to carry a show right now. "They haven't contacted me..and if they do I'd only be coming on as recurring, (like I was on The Game)," she stated. "I'm not ready to be a regular on a show, although I am developing a show myself I might star in."

So with Meagan and Stacey out of the picture, who could possibly fill in the casting gap. If "Single Ladies" fans have anything to say about it, Nia Long.

According to the "Single Ladies" page on Facebook, a recent poll by RealityWives.net showed that Nia topped the list of possible options with 21 percent of the vote. Tamera Mowry comes in second with 16 percent and Lark Voorhies rounded out the top three with 13 percent of the vote.

It is interesting to note that Meagan came in at 4 in the poll.
