'Hangover 2' stuntman sues over injuries on Astini News

A stuntman for The Hangover, Part II is suing Warner Bros. for injuries he got during the filming of the movie.

According to E! Online, the stuntman was left with severe brain injuries last December after shooting a car chase that went wrong in Bangkok. He has filed for negligence and failure to insure his safety. Scott McLean, the injured stuntman, filed the lawsuit in California.

During the stunt, the truck that McLean was riding on crashed head on into another vehicle, leaving McLean in a medically-induced coma for two months, according to BBC News.

In a statement Warner Bros said, "We were shocked and saddened by this accident and have been working closely with Scott and his family throughout his treatment and recovery. We have offered continual support since the accident occurred and we are working together to try and resolve any outstanding issues."

McLean's lawsuit says that he may suffer "permanent brain and physical injuries," according to his legal representatives.

In the lawsuit, McLean is singling out stunt coordinator Russell Stolberg. McLean claims that Stolberg changed the timing of the stunt at the last minute, after filming had already begun.

According to state documents, "Solberg commanded to the driver of the automobile in which plaintiff Scott McLean was a passenger, that the speed of his vehicle be increased significantly to a speed unsafe for the stunt, thus resulting in a major collision," E! Online reports.

The amount that McLean is seeking is unknown.
