Brittany Murphy Dies At 32: Death Certificate Changed on Astini News

Brittany Murphy died at the age of 32.

Brittany Murphy's death certificate has been changed to include her father's name after he complained he was unable to visit his daughter's grave.

The Clueless star passed away in 2009 after suffering a cardiac arrest linked to pneumonia and anaemia.

Murphy was estranged from her father, Angelo Bertolotti, at the time of her passing and her death certificate originally listed the actress' paternity as 'unknown'.

The move left Bertolotti blocked from the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles, where Murphy is laid to rest, because he couldn't prove he is a family member.

Bertolotti, who divorced Murphy's mother when the actress was just two years old, is named as her father on her birth certificate and lodged an appeal for her death certificate to be altered.

His name has now been added to the document after he showed proof of identification, the actress' birth certificate, and family photos to officials at the L.A. County Registrar, reports TMZ.com.

Brittany Murphy's final words have been released by her mother. The sad story about her death was revealed on Larry King Live on Friday Night. Brittany Murphy's mom and Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack looked devastated.

Sharon Murphy told Larry King that Brittany Murphy's final words were "Mom, I'm dying," she said the morning of her death. Monjack did most of the talking on the show, Brittany's mother still looked absolutely distraught over her death.

Monjack commented while Murphy was dying, "Her eyes were not right. They were darting off left and right and center."

Monjack rejected all suggestions that Murphy died of drugs. He said that his former wife had pneumonia and laryngitis. The actress was apparently very sick in her last days. Officials report her death on December 20, 2009 an accident due to sickness. The official report said it was possible that her prescription drugs and anemia could have played a role in killing her.
