Britney Spears has invited Prince William and Kate to come see her in concert during the UK leg of her 'Femme Fatale' world tour.

The singer asked the royal couple to see her perform after she found out that the prince admitted to fancying her during his teenage years.

Spears described it as "hilarious" that she was once branded William's ideal woman and said she would love to see them at her tour during an interview with this month's Glamour magazine.

The 29-year-old explained: "That would be crazy and cool. I think they're a beautiful couple. Unfortunately I didn't get to watch the wedding but I heard it was beautiful."

The 'I Wanna Go' star also revealed plans for her upcoming 30th birthday this December, saying that she may put on a "carnival of Britney".

Britney Spears will start the UK leg of her 'Femme Fatale' tour at London's O2 Arena on October 27, and will play further dates in Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield and Manchester.
