Amy Schumer's Ryan Dunn Joke: Was it in Bad Taste or Fair Deal? (VIDEO) on Astini News

American standup comedian Amy Schumer has made unwelcome headlines for her remarks to "Jackass" star Steve-O over the death of his friend Ryan Dunn.

"Steve-O! But I'm truly sorry for the loss of your friend, Ryan Dunn. I know you must have been thinking 'It could have been me.' I know we were all thinking, why wasn't it?," Schumer said on Charlie Sheen Roast that was aired on Comedy Central Monday.

When the camera panned to Steve-O, the funny stuntman looked visibly upset and angered by the comments.

There was mixed response on Twitter whether Schumer crossed her line or not.

Comedian Rob Fee tweeted: "Anyone who feels like Amy Schumer crossed the line w a Ryan Dunn joke at the sheenroast, its ur fault for thinking theres a line at a roast"

Entrepreneur Sebastian said: "Yooooooooo this blonde Amy Schumer was BRUTAL on this roast! Wow! Lmao".

David Collins tweeted: "Amy schumer, you're not famous or pretty enough to say anything you just said"

Poker Player Shannon Shor said: "Wow, Amy Schumer went too far with the Ryan Dunn joke directed at Steve-O."

MMABeatdown tweeted; "Guys, Amy Schumer is a comedian. Comedians make jokes. If you don't like jokes or find any of them offensive, you shouldn't watch a "Roast.""

Comedian Nikki Glaser said: "As well she shouldn't. RT @laughspincom Amy Schumer on her Ryan Dunn roast joke: "I don't feel the need to apologize""

Schumer herself responded by tweeting "I really appreciate all the kind words and support. Thanks guys!"

Dunn and his 30-year-old friend, Zachary Daniel Hartwell, died in a car accident in Pennsylvania in June. During the crash, Dunn's 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 went off the road, crashed into woods and caught fire. Dunn and Hartwell were pronounced dead at the scene from blunt and thermal trauma when flames engulfed Dunn's Porsche.

Dunn's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit, the toxicology report stated.

Dunn was known for his dangerous antics and practical jokes in MTV's "Jackass" series and movies with his longtime friend Bam Margera.

The Comedy Central Roasts are a series of celebrity roast specials which air on the Comedy Central cable network. The Charlie Sheen roast was aired right after Ashton Kutcher's first episode replacing Sheen on "Two and a Half Men".

On Monday, the show had roasters including Mike Tyson, Jeff Ross, Anthony Jeselnik and Steve-O. A montage of Sheen's film and television work were featured, though due to legal reasons clips of his tenure on "Two and a Half Men" were never used. With 6.4 million viewers in its original debut, Charlie Sheen's Roast, was the highest rated Comedy Central Roast ever.
